Marisa undertook her undergraduate training at Queens University Belfast before working as a hospital doctor in Australia for just over 2 years.  On her return to the UK, she relocated to Brighton where she completed her GP training in 2003. She worked in a GP practice in Shoreham-by-Sea for 5 years before joining Tonbridge Medical Group in 2009.  

Her interests include women's health and contraception.  She also has an interest in musculoskeletal medicine and is skilled in several injection techniques.

She is married with 2 children. Marisa became a partner in the practice in April 2017.

Dr Degenaar usually works on: Monday, Thursday, Friday
