Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Consultations
At Tonbridge Medical Group, we are committed to providing safe, high-quality patient care while making the best use of technology to support our clinicians.
Our clinicians may occasionally use approved Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools during consultations to assist with tasks such as documenting consultations, summarising clinical information and reducing administrative workload. This helps clinicians spend more time focusing on patient care and less time on paperwork.
Any AI tools used by the practice:
- Operate within NHS information governance and data protection requirements.
- Are used only to support clinical and administrative processes.
- Do not replace the professional judgement or responsibility of the clinician.
- Are subject to appropriate security and confidentiality measures.
- All decisions regarding your diagnosis, treatment and care remain the responsibility of your GP or healthcare professional.
If you would like more information about the use of AI within the practice, please speak to a member of staff.
